Half Day Annual Refresher Course

We have just completed a 2-day CONDO course. I would like to convey our thanks for an informative and well-presented course. Paul’s engaging character and depth of knowledge made for a very interesting 2 days. Top Marks for content and presentation.

Yesterday, we encountered a situation that required us to apply the skills you imparted.

While at Primark, an elderly lady had fallen from the top of an escalator, sustaining a significant head injury and experiencing intermittent consciousness. We assessed the situation, and the training we received proved invaluable. The lady was subsequently transported to the hospital.

I recently had the pleasure of attending a long awaited first aid course led by Mr. Chris Mahon, and I can confidently say it was one of the most professional and engaging training sessions I’ve participated in.

From the very beginning, Chris set a tone that was both welcoming and focused. His deep knowledge of the subject was clear, but what really stood out was the way he communicated complex information in a clear, approachable manner. He balanced theoretical knowledge with plenty of hands-on practice, making sure everyone felt confident using the techniques we were learning.

Chris’s teaching style is dynamic and interactive. He encouraged questions, fostered discussion, and used real-life scenarios to make the content relevant and memorable. His ability to keep the group engaged—even during more technical sections—was impressive. It’s clear he’s not only an expert in first aid, but also in training delivery.

I left the course feeling genuinely empowered and much more prepared to handle emergency situations. I would highly recommend this course—and Chris Mahon as an instructor—to anyone looking to build practical first aid skills in a professional and supportive environment.   

Having had many ex-service people running course I felt Matt was probably the best so far. His delivery and use of experience was pitched just right. He was not over the top with anything, very even in tone and kept things in the right area I felt.

He was very friendly, informative, and supportive of processes and theory. Also, very knowledgeable and gave extra info but only up to a point, reigning back when we got too far off topic. He gave a real world approach to things and kept things real and simple in application.

The trainer was really good. The order and speed in which he went through the content was very effective and the overall consensus from the group was that we learnt and took in a lot more from this course

The training today was brilliant! Chris was amazing at keeping us all focused, ensuring we had all the information we needed, and making us laugh along the way.

He really is a breath of fresh air, and I would highly recommend him to anyone!

He has a natural way to put people at ease whilst ensuring they understand (and can apply) the skills necessary.

I just wanted to give you some feedback from us for the course on Tuesday. Lynda, John, and Jim were nothing short of absolutely superb! All our staff have commented to me how good they were and how engaging, informative, and fun they made the day. We agreed in our many years of first aid refresher courses this was the best we have ever had (and as Lynda knows there are many years’ experiences here).

Please can you mention to them in whatever way you feedback to them that we thought they were brilliant and would love to pencil them in for three years’ time!!

I wanted to contact you to praise one of your trainers, Pete, who came to train me and colleagues for our annual first aid refresher yesterday.

He was absolutely superb. He was extremely approachable, fantastic communicator, sensible about how he taught us, careful to not overload us with information, just the right amount of stories to make it entertaining and adding to the learning, he really knew the subject.

I am an experienced trainer myself as I worked in foundation training for new police officers and I came away from that course very impressed at how he took the course and his experience really shone through.

I just had to email in following the training yesterday as there was the most amazing feedback about Ray. Honestly in all the years of training having been delivered here, there has never been such glowing reports. So many staff came to me to say not only was it the most comprehensive training & they learnt far more than normal, he had humour and knowledge far beyond what was expected.

I just wanted to pass over our thanks to Chris for our CPR training on Thursday the 18^th July. I can honestly say that was the best CPR training my team has had. Chris really engaged with my whole team. He picked up on little details with regards to the team which really included them. My team have done this training for many years, and it can get a little repetitive and not as enthusiastic to take part however I can say all my team were engaged and happy to be taking part. He made us all laugh and his sense of humour was really welcome within our team. He made my new trainee feel really included and this was so lovely to see. After the training my team have all fed back to me how well it went and was enjoyable. Please pass my thanks on to Chris along with this feedback and we would love to book him for next year!

I just wanted to make you aware that the training that I had in basic life saving came in very useful. Unfortunately, my husband had a sudden heart attack through a blood clot caused via his chemotherapy treatment and went into immediate cardiac arrest. The skills that I learnt on the course must have registered somewhere deep inside, as I, along with my two daughters sprang into action. We live in a very rural and remote area, and the ambulance crew struggled to find us although we did use What 3 words.

We carried out CPR for thirty minutes and used the Defib five times and literally kept my husband going until help arrived.

The coronary care unit told me that the quality of the CPR that we administered was of a high quality and had saved my husband’s life. My husband is recovering after surgery and is improving well. The consultant said it was a miracle that he had survived, and he had very limited chances of survival due to the circumstances and that he was very lucky to be here.

We will always be in the trainer’s debt and would just like to pass on this positive news.

I would like to feedback about the training we received on 17th/18th April as part of our Inset Day.
I understand that both instructors were excellent, but this is from a personal experience as I was in Sam’s group (sorry I should have asked his surname). He was engaging, extremely knowledgeable and brilliant at teaching others. The fact that he is currently a firefighter and has first-hand experience in dealing with scenarios where first aid is needed within his day-to-day life was invaluable to us.

I would just like to say how easy it was to book and arrange this first aid course and although I sent through some late adjustments this was not a problem for your team at all. Everything has been sent and received with good timings and with ease, thank you. Also I would just like to say how wonderful our trainer was for the day, he kept us interested, entertained with his clearly advanced knowledge on the topic but also he made it very relevant to our organisation which is always very beneficial and makes the course very rememberable. Chris very much took charge and led the day which was perfect and definitely what I was looking for in a trainer, made my life so much easier as the organiser, and participant in the training. Yesterday I completed my Frec3 course with Chris and Matt; I just want to say that it was amazing the best course that I have been on. Our trainer was outstanding in all aspects of delivering our training course. He had obviously taken some time to look into our company before he arrived and spent some time with us prior to the official start time asking about what we do so that he could add some relevance to the content and discuss specific work environments that we are often present in.

The course was a whole day but the interactive nature and lack of boring screen slides really kept the attendees attention and made the day fly by.

Everyone said that they had learnt valuable first aid techniques and they would be confident to use in a situation that we may find ourselves in.

We felt that the course represented excellent value for money – we would highly recommend to any other businesses.

Just wanted to drop you a line to say thank you for the classroom section of the first aid course that was undertaken at our school this morning. The attendees all said that the course was very good and that the trainer kept it light hearted and friendly but still managed to get across how important the information was and how serious first aid can be. They found him easy to follow and said he was an great trainer.

I would just like to feedback a couple of things following on from the Study Day that I attended. The CPD day was focused on Airway Management and Medical Gases.

Although I do not currently train in a sector that administers any medical gases, I now feel confident that I have sufficient knowledge to answer any tricky questions that may come my way on my courses. It was useful to go into a lot more depth about airway management and find out about more advanced equipment. I thought that the trainer was absolutely fantastic. He was patient and went at a pace that ensured the learning was taken on board. He was very reassuring and installed a lot of confidence in myself. There were a lot of us in the room with different backgrounds and there were occasions where we would train slightly different ways of administering first aid but Ian was there to ensure we were all standardised, which is most important.

I do look forward to your training sessions and I would like to thank you again for all of your support. Each member of your team that I have come into contact with/ spoken to have been most helpful. I hope to see you all again soon.

I wanted to share some feedback from the CPR session we had yesterday. The whole team were very impressed with the trainer and the training style. The ability to have training within a surgery and not the usual classroom scenario was so much better and allowed the team to roleplay in their working areas. The training was also adapted for the reception team and I know them and myself feel well trained as a result.
