How long is the course and how is it held?
A one day program, tuition takes place via Zoom over the morning of the course, during the afternoon one to one assessments are conducted.
What does the course cover?
A range of Safeguarding related subjects are covered including:
Safeguarding legislation and guidance
Roles and responsibilities
Abuse and neglect
Identifying concerns and disclosure
Making judgements
Reporting safeguarding concerns
Assessment & Certification
A range of methods are used, including practical and questioning (open and multiple-choice). The morning is fully Instructor led, in the afternoon you will be asked to re-join the meeting at a scheduled time to take part in your professional discussion – this forms the assessment part of this course.
Certification is electronic and awarded by First Aid Awards, the qualification does not have an expiry date, however keeping up to date with legislation is vital.
