This two-day course is aimed at those who need to train others to carry out manual handling within the workplace.

This 2 day course prepares learners to deliver Manual Handling training within their own organisation or externally for business. The course covers both theory and practical elements, each delegate will deliver a teaching session to their peers as part of this instructional program.

Understand the effects of manual handling
Understand the cause of back pain
Appreciate the basic requirements outlined in the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 – amended 2002
Understand the procedure for good manual handling technique
Demonstrate the correct handling & lifting techniques
Understand the lifting guidelines
Understand how to deliver a microteach

During the course learners will be assessed by means of a practical assignment, a micro-teach and a fifty multiple-choice question paper. Certification is OCN.

The cost of an in-house course is £1750.00 plus vat for up to 6 delegates when run at your venue. Additional delegates are charged at £250.00 plus vat each thereafter.
